I came to Dr. Nelson on July 3rd. My vet was closed and I had an emergency. They immediately got us in and gave great knowledgeable and loving care! I am so thankful. I was referred here from a friend of mine. Dr. Nelson saved her dogs life when no one else would get her in for an emergency surgery. I highly recommend!!!

Finally found an animal hospital that doesn’t focus on money before caring for your pet. They were nice, helpful and very responsive to calls and questions. The hospital is clean and bright without being overdone and plastered with marketing materials. If you are trying to find a place that will care about your pet first and foremost, give Goosetown a try.

Dr. Nelson and his team are great - there is no place that I trust more with my cat than Goosetown. Having moved around quite a bit, I never felt like I had a great vet… until now, for 3 reasons: 1) Prices are reasonable and they provide detailed information regarding the cost breakdown; 2) Dr. Nelson, the front desk staff, and the vet techs are incredibly kind and knowledgeable; and 3) They make me feel comfortable leaving my cat in their care - which is a big deal. Best vet in the greater IC area hands down! I recommend everyone to them.

I have been searching for the best veterinary practice for my reactive dog for 11 years and I’ve finally found them. I don’t have enough good things to say about Goosetown Animal Hospital. As someone who has had not-so-great experiences with veterinary offices before, this establishment is a truly breath of fresh air. I have a 14-year old Rottweiler/English Bulldog mix, Bentley, who tends to have some aggression when it comes to being handled by strangers. In the past, that has hindered some of his care. However, both Dr. Beth Hinson and Dr. Rudd Nelson (Uncle Rudd) did not let that get in the way of his medical care. My first appointment was with Dr. Hinson, who took her time, followed his cues, sat on the ground with him, and even gained a little bit of his trust by the end of the appointment. They even gave me a follow-up call to check on the progress of my dog. My second appointment was with Dr. Nelson for a full dental. He worked with my dog, allowed me to stay for all of the pre-op needle pokes and everything, and even did Bentley’s dental first thing to get him out of there as soon as possible. He was incredibly reassuring, took all the precautions, and was as thorough as possible so that this dog-momma could rest assured her boy was in good hands. I got a call immediately following surgery letting me know how it went. When checking in for each appointment, Bentley was immediately taken back to a room, which is so appreciated when you have a reactive dog. Everyone in the office is incredibly sweet, understanding, and accommodating. Both providers went above and beyond for my senior dog. Please keep them in business so I never have to look for another veterinarian again.
