The West Side Vet family and Dr.Jansen are wonderful! We never feel rushed and they try to accommodate us whenever we have an emergent issue. The place is always clean and the staff is very quick to respond to prescription requests etc. This is a truly special place and we are lucky to have to found them!

I have been taking my dog to this clinic her whole life. They always put the pet and their owner first. Would not go anywhere else.

Most recent reviews are 6 to 9 years ago however 2026 this year you better be prepared if your a new client to pay a non-refundable security deposit of $65.00 just to make a appointment. They don't care if you cancel or have something come up they will take your money. So glad I stayed with my West Des Moines vet even though they a little father away I feel confident my dog in better hands at WDM vet.
